Friends for Hope Retreat Weekend www.friendsforhopecancersupport.org/retreat.aspx Where are the weekends? Friends for Hope Weekend is held at Kavanaugh Enrichment Center in Crestwood, Kentucky. Kavanaugh is located in a lovely setting surrounded by nature's beauty, walking trails and a pond. All furnishings are modern and all meals are served in a dining room. What is a A Friends for Hope Weekend? A Friends for Hope Weekend is a fun-filled, relaxing getaway held in the spring and fall. It is a time for those affected by cancer to enjoy fellowship and support in beautiful natural surroundings. Who can attend? Adults, 18 years of age or older, who are cancer survivors, caregivers, family members and friends can attend. What activities are offered? Optional sessions are offered by local professionals that focus on topics of interest to those who have been diagnosed with cancer and their caregivers. Alternative options promoting healing, fellowship, entertainment and reflection complement the educational presentations. What should I bring? Bring comfortable and casual clothing, personal toiletry items and an adventuresome spirit. (Radios, alarm clocks, flashlights, TV's and egg crate pads are not provided.)
